Moving...

8 Months and counting!
My baby girl is on the GO! :) Not really crawling yet, but army crawling to get to all of her brother's wonderful and colorful toys! It's a new lesson in sharing AND picking up for Joshua. Her personality is starting to come out, she really only move if she WANTS something, not just crawling to get across the room. She's also a bit of a nut, she sits there making really funky noises, not your normal baby noises which she also makes, but ones that makes me laugh cause they're so weird!
Still only two sharp teeth in her mouth but she's loving her solids!
And...
Her first ponytail!!!
She's actually at the point where I NEED to put something in her hair to keep it out of her eyes or she looks like a ragamuffin. :)

A Gospel Encounter
"Mom, mom! Look it's the "special!"" Joshua holds up these....
("Special" is defined as communion juice and cracker, in this case just the juice, aka red blocks.)
"Joshua, do you know why we drink the special?"
It was an amazing opportunity to present the gospel to Joshua, just a normal day with it's up and downs. It makes me ask myself, have I missed other opportunities to teach Joshua about God? Have these opportunities been drowned in the up and downs of a normal day? I'm sure I have. This makes me thankful that I find God's grace in my parenting. He gives us ample of opportunity to love and teach our children on a daily basis, but we must still take hold of them and use them. It is not the Sunday school teacher's job to be the main teacher of God's love, though Sunday school is a wonderful thing, our children should see Christ in our life and learn about him everyday.
Joshua is learning and watching every day, even at church while we take communion.
Joshua handed me one of the "specials" and after I told him WHY we drank the "special", he lifted up the "special" and said "Lets all drink this together"...
Our children are watching...

March Madness
March madness has been residing in our house this past month, but not in the form of basketball. :)
I changed my plans from tackling my bedroom to tackling the "guest room". Since we were going to have a friend come stay with us, I thought maybe he would like to be able to walk in the room. :) I did pretty good, most everything is off the floor, but I have to organize the stuff that was put away in a rather disorderly fashion. It IS nice to be able to sit at my little purple desk/ craft table again. My computer can live downstairs again in a usable spot, instead of next to my bed which is waaaaay toooo accessible for me.
I also did tackle my wonderful walk in closet, my husband was amazed at how roomy it was in there. Getting that organize will help me move on to tackling the rest of the bedroom ( which I have been nipping at here and there). So April I'll focus back on my bedroom and maybe actually get around to DONATE stuff to Goodwill, not just weed it out. :P
Still keeping up with dishes and the livingroom! In general. :-D

A bit more SPRING in our step!
