8 Months and counting!

My baby girl is on the GO! :) Not really crawling yet, but army crawling to get to all of her brother's wonderful and colorful toys! It's a new lesson in sharing AND picking up for Joshua. Her personality is starting to come out, she really only move if she WANTS something, not just crawling to get across the room. She's also a bit of a nut, she sits there making really funky noises, not your normal baby noises which she also makes, but ones that makes me laugh cause they're so weird!

Still only two sharp teeth in her mouth but she's loving her solids!

Her first ponytail!!!

She's actually at the point where I NEED to put something in her hair to keep it out of her eyes or she looks like a ragamuffin. :)

Ahhh, spring... we get whiffs of it here and there and sometimes all day, it's not quite here. Here are some pictures in honor of spring!

  

7 Months!

I'm debating about not counting the months my little baby girl turns till she turns a year, maybe it will seem like she's a baby for longer?

 

We've started solids! She loves her peas and carrots so far. Starting the solids has made her want everything I'm eating or drinking. :P She's starting to "talk". We've heard the infamous "Dada", and man other sounds. The other night she looked over at Elias and HISSED with this throaty sound. It was great.

 She has also gotten to the point where she knows what she wants and goes for it, even if it's in Joshua's hand. Let the lesson of "sharing" begin on his part AND for Brianna to learn she isn't the center of the world.

5 Months!

Lets skip 4 month pictures shall we.... :P Poor second borns... Oh well, life moves on.

My beautiful blue eyed baby turned 5 months the beginning of January. She is all smiles and trying to pop a tooth I think, it feels like the bump will soon bring forth a sharp pearly white. :) She can sit up a little on some surfaces, she's trying real hard to grow up I think. I'm enjoying her cuddles, she just loves to be held and kissed...which is good cause her cheeks asked to be kissed and her rolls asked to be hugged. She just loved Joshua, he specially makes her laugh and giggle. I think he secretly likes that she likes him, but he isn't sure about interacting with her as a person. She's been more like a live doll till more recently, he realizes she reacts to things he does. :) I love watching them interact, Joshua is more willing to talk and play with her while he thinks I'm not watching. Her hair is still " natural punk", God gave it to her! She's a long baby, she's pushing 6 months clothes LENGTH already.

2 Months!

My baby girl is already two months! She is getting more beautiful every day ( yes, I'm sure I'm biased). She loves being cuddled, something Joshua would have no part in when he was a baby. So I enjoy being able to just chill with her and cuddle.  She has been bursting into smiles the last week and a half, so it's no longer just "gas". :) I went and finally bought a ring sling, so excited to have it! It's wonderful to have an alternative to the car seat and stroller combo ( as much as I love the combi one I have). It's must easier to feel like I'm focused on Joshua while we're out, instead of focused on pushing the stroller.

We're slowly falling into a routine again ( kinda, sorta? :) ) I went swimming last week and it felt GREAT! So, I hope to do that once or twice again this week. We'll see. Joshua likes to help with Brianna and tries to interact with her. He likes it when I make her "talk" to him.  So we're doing pretty good here!

7 weeks!

 

Well, 7 weeks has sure flown by! Are little girl's life goal seems to fatten up. :) She's a bit of a pukey baby, randomly spitting up. So life is always full of surprises....though not always good ones. She's starting to smile at the sound of my voice, I love it! She wears her emotions on her sleeve, easily pleased but easily distressed. She could be perfectly content one moment and then decide she's hungry and will start crying with no warning. I can officially say she has BLUE eyes! I'm delighted to have at least one child with blue eyes! It makes me happy! Well this coming week I'll be re-diving into cloth diapers, we'll see how that goes...
