A Blog Party Spotlight

Hi, I'm Christy! Welcome to Glimmers ( for those that are new)!

Glimmers, It represent my blogging style very well. You see a little bit of this and a little bit of that, rather sporadic. Each blog post is a glimmer of my life.

I have a wonderful little family, and I think they are the bestest kids in the world! I love having the privaledge of staying home with them and being the best wife I can be to my great husband.
I like to blog because I forget. I forget the cute things my kids say, thoughts that have crossed my mind and even the amazing things God has done in our life, the blessings and hard times He's brought us through.
I'm also a dabbler of many things, I've recently tried to focus on learning to sew, photography and the art of keeping an organized house. :)

What is one of your favorite things to catch a whiff of?

Walking through the mall my sister and I will simultaneously slow down as we approach Abercrombie and Finch, deeply breathing in their cologne that penetrates the store and comes spilling out of the storel. Mmmmm...
I also love the smell of seasons, though not all seasons are my favorite. Spring has its wet and NEW smell. The smell that the world is about to burst forth with life after the dead of winter. Summer owns the smell of heat, even when it rains, it smells hot. The smell of dying, crunchy leaves in Fall, fills my mind with the thoughts of delicious food! Then the smell of winter sets in with it's air of brisk coldness, the peppermint of the seasons. :)
Those are a few of my favorite things

If money wasn’t a factor, what stores would you shop in?

I would I would shop in so many different stores, from thrift stores to Target to searching for the perfect thing in an expensive store. I really can't say what store is a favorite....though I do like Gap, but I just can't bring myself to shop there too often....

What is your comfort food/drink?

I might have to say French Fries, though I do crave cheeseburgers very often also. I used to write it off to pregnancy, but the cravings haven't ceased after baby. :)

I am not a romantic....

I guess thats it for now folks!

  1. I love your scent-sational explanation of the smells of the seasons. Brilliantly done. You and me, we have one really, tasty and important food group in common: FRENCH FRIES! Deliciously delectable morsels of French fried, potato-ie goodness. In any size, shape or crispness. They are yummy. Very nice to meet you. Thank you for sharing your love of fries and the scents of the earth.

  2. Very nice to meet you too! Thanks for reading and commenting. :) Did you know that Chic-Fil-A is having a free "french fry "fry day" this friday? between 2-4 to promote the new ketchup container...which in itself is in-genius.

  3. Very cute blog. My friend Jenilee and I would go into Abercrombie and Finch spray cologne on the cardboard strips and keep them in our purses so they would smell awesome. Love it...cute blog!

  4. Yep, I definatly can't blame cravings on babies. I had a book that showed a pic of the mom with baby and said "now it's baby fat. and then one with the kid grown up that said "Now it's just fat."

  5. Gotta love Target. I always joke if they could bottle the scent of Target they could make a great deal of money. I know, I know, I know, it's Target -- but where else can you go in planning on purchasing a $2.49 dish sponge and leave $98.34 later?

Great blog. Hopping over from Lynnettes.

I'm so glad you joined the blog party. I'm thrilled that so many people are linking up and making new friends.

It was nice to read a little about you. I thought it was funny that you ended it with, "I am not a romantic". HA!

    Have fun partyin'!
